Well, I stopped yesteryear the cloth shop too I wasn't super impressed amongst the imitation fur options that I found, or amongst their prices. I didn't purchase the cloth too I simply position the sentiment aside. Last nighttime I was struck amongst the notion that perhaps I could role an onetime sweater. I raided my sweaters too constitute an angora too wool blend Express turtle cervix sweater that I had thrifted almost viii years ago. Sorry bunnies, this projection did request y'all later all...
I cutting off the cervix too the sleeves. The outcome looked similar this (I apologize for the misfortunate tutorial pics; I did this on a whim at 9pm lastly night):
I speedily stitched the cervix hole too the bottom shut. I too thence folded it into thirds too stitched the layers together. It looked similar this:
And finally, I turned it thence the folded over parts were on the outside, sewed the 2 ends together to do a ring, too flipped it correct side out. The whole procedure took xv minutes. Please allow me assure that I am non an experienced sewer or crafter, too it nevertheless exclusively took 15 minutes! Here is the destination result:
As I was sewing, I was also skyping amongst my sis Virginia, who suggested that I role the turtleneck share equally an ear warmer. Good call, Gin, practiced call. She also suggested that I salve the sleeves for leg warmers. Nice.
So at that topographic point y'all convey it, onetime sweater to chic snood (sounds similar an oxymoron, doesn't it...) inwards xv minutes! What do y'all think? Would y'all endeavour this?
UPDATE: Since living amongst this snood for a pair of months, I decided to brand a change. It was simply besides warm, besides substantial... So I pulled out all of my stitching, too cutting the forepart too dorsum apart along the existing side too shoulder seams. Doing this effectively gave me 2 pieces of cloth for 2 snoods. I too thence re-sewed the snood next the same steps equally above. I actually similar the result; cheque it out HERE. Need to a greater extent than or less to a greater extent than crafts?
